About me:
Ich wuchs in Solothurn auf und begann meine berufliche Laufbahn mit einer Lehre im Elektromaschinenbau. Anschliessend bildete ich mich in Marketing und Verkaufsplanung an der SAWI weiter.
Meine Leidenschaft für die Fotografie entwickelte sich früh und begleitete mich seitdem auf meinem Weg. Über die Jahre habe ich mein Wissen durch Fachausbildungen und Workshops vertieft, hauptsächlich in den USA, unter anderem auch bei National Geographic und dem renommierten Fotografen Joe McNally. Dabei lernte ich, wie entscheidend Bildaussage, Lichtführung, Komposition und der respektvolle Umgang mit Menschen vor der Kamera sind.
Heute arbeite ich als Berufsfotograf (BR), freischaffender Fotojournalist und Pressefotograf – unter anderem für die Redaktionen der CH Media – und betreibe mein eigenes Fotostudio in Solothurn. Ich gebe Fotokurse, leite internationale Workshops und begleite fotografische Kommunikationsprojekte von der ersten Idee bis zur fertigen Bildstrecke.
Industrie- und Handelsunternehmen, Institutionen sowie Werbeagenturen zählen zu meinen Auftraggebern und setzen auf meine Erfahrung, um ihre Kommunikations- und Werbekonzepte fotografisch umzusetzen.
Am 28. April 2025 wurde mir der Medienpreis Nordwestschweiz für Fotografie verliehen.
About me:
I grew up in Solothurn, Switzerland, and began my professional career with an apprenticeship in electrical machine engineering. I later expanded my business expertise through further education in marketing and sales planning at SAWI.
My passion for photography developed at an early age and has accompanied me ever since. Over the years, I have continuously refined my skills through specialized training programs and workshops, primarily in the United States, including courses with National Geographic and renowned photographer Joe McNally. These experiences taught me the importance of visual storytelling, lighting, composition, and the respectful interaction with people in front of the camera.
Today, I work as a professional photographer (BR), freelance photojournalist, and press photographer, contributing regularly to publications within the CH Media group. I also operate my own photography studio in Solothurn, Switzerland. In addition, I conduct photography courses, lead international workshops, and support visual communication projects from the initial concept through to the final published image story.
My clients include industrial and commercial companies, public institutions, and advertising agencies who rely on my experience and expertise to bring their communication and marketing concepts to life through compelling photography.

On April 28, 2025, I was awarded the Northwest Switzerland Media Prize for Photography in recognition of my work as a photojournalist.
